Lily's Christmas!

The Christmas festivities are fast approaching and my annual trip into the attic to retrieve the decorations for the tree will soon be upon me - I have to brace myself to cope with the spiders!

Much as I'm very happy sunning myself - these are my toes enjoying freedom in Spain last year - I also love the cosy winter nights.

Sometimes in the UK we get snow. The snow is magical, especially if like me you live in the countryside. It doesn't turn to grey slush, it stays pretty and white and always makes me think of Narnia. These are the woods near where I live - shots taken a couple of years ago.

This is the meadow taken at the same time. I can still feel the icy wind that was blowing that day!

But when it's cold outside, and I mean really cold, not just a little bit chilly, it makes it all the nicer to light the fire, pour a glass of red and curl up with a hot guy, or a hot book, depending on what you fancy.

Happy Christmas preparations everyone.

  1. Such lovely pictures! With that snow though I would stay at home with that wine and my hot hubby and book bfs! I live in southern California, no snow where I live. We did get our tree decorated! Happy Holidays!

    1. I love the snow - if I choose to go out in it rather than 'have to'! Wine and hot everything very much a top priority though. Happy Holidays to you too, Tracey.
